Almost every day I go for a walk. Often it is the familiar walk I took with Marianne, although there is another walk closer to my neighborhood that i take now too. So there is a choice. This morning I took the old familiar walk, but there was still a choice: how far to go. I passed our special tree and then came in sight of twin pine trees that have become special too. And I knew I had reached the point that was intended today, and after a quiet moment I turned around and headed back.
More and more I find myself responding to the moment rather than to a prior plan. My intention had been to post autumn poems now, but this poem from spring is what called to me to share today.

Twin Pine Trees Be open, my love I am with you, now and always The twin pine trees are a reminder You will see them every day As you take our special walk You will remember this special day in early spring Springtime for your soul It is a new day There is more day to dawn.
