Partners on the Journey

It was the coldest day of the young year
Of course I would walk!
I bundled up with sweater, coat and cap
The brown coat you made for me with love
And off I went
Early on I made a tiny decision
To wait a little, not to rush.

And I enjoyed the walk
The cool fresh air and the cloudless sky
All the familiar sights
The two-in-one tree that has become special
The beautiful house and yard
Looking so inviting after its makeover.

Then came another decision
My project can wait a while
As I maintain my open spaces
To be with you
And I could feel you jump with joy!
Which made my own heart happy.

As I turned on our street
There was a truck
With an amazing sign
That I knew was meant for you and me
“Partners on the journey.”
