The Sun

The Sun

The sun again is out
The air is fresh and crisp
The sky is blue and cloudless
The body is strong yet harmless
The mind is subtle and trackless
The heart is full and doubtless
And the soul is surely boundless!

What a miracle is all creation!
What beauty and vibrancy surround us.

My soul had been a little dark
I saw a coming period of the mind’s reaching
Valued activity and true teaching
But I felt the lack of a certain spark.

Even the day had been dark and gray
I could not quite laugh or play
Then a friend came to me
Her smile set me free.

And now the sun is back
It warms my heart, I feel no lack
And my own fire has returned
