Summer Moon

Summer Moon

Some feelings are subtle
How can I convey the peace I feel this summer morning?
It began with lines from a remembered Christmas hymn
	Angels bending near the Earth
To touch their harps of gold
Then I saw a songbird
And noticed the fair-weather clouds
Slowly drifting in the summer sky.

It was the daytime moon that spoke to me.
One month ago I walked this same path
And was greeted by the same moon
Then anguished feelings dogged my footsteps
“Where is the light that has been my blessing?”

I think I have found a passage
I had been shown options
It brought confusion and uncertainty
And then I knew my own true path
Is the one I travel with my beloved.

Oh moon, what will I feel
When you greet me next month?
