In the Shade of the Mimosa Tree

In the Shade of the Mimosa Tree

The connection is subtle and fine
Like the delicate fern-like leaves
And the filament blossoms of the mimosa tree
Under which I pause on this summer morning
Sad thoughts had occupied my mind
And then I was reminded to let them go
“When not engaged do not think.”
Now a breeze comes
The breeze and the shade cool my fevered mind
And I am grateful once more for a gentle blessing.

  1. I am glad I read this again on my computer. So nice to see the photo, which did not appear on the phone. Your words complement the picture brautifully.
